Prayer for and support people in Kyrgyzstan

Dear brothers and sisters,

The events in Kyrgyzstan in recent weeks has developed in an unpredictable
way. It concerns us and we all pray for the people of Kyrgyzstan, and
especially for our brothers and sisters in Christ. The United Methodist
Church has always proclaimed and practiced peace, respect and reconciliation
between people of different nationalities and of different economic status.
We believe that Jesus Christ gives us peace and hope, and with that we can
transform our lives and the life of our nation. We pray for God's guidance
and reconciliation of peoples in Kyrgyzstan. I call all United Methodist
Churches in Eurasia join us in prayer and support for people of Kyrgyzstan.
